Celebration of Life: Benny Lee Albright

Benny Lee Albright, a loving son, father, brother, uncle was born in Chapel Hill, NC on October 9, 1976 and departed this life June 1, 2025. He was born to Thomas Albright and Amanda Staton Albright. 

Benny was a native of Alamance County, NC. He accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of Pastor K. Ray Hill, who was the Pastor of Melfield UCC at the time. He graduated from Eastern Alamance High School in 1994, he also attended Alamance Community College for Automotive. He started his own pressure washing business known as Applying Pressure LLC. 

Benny gained a love for fishing from his grandmother Pearlena, and really enjoyed night fishing for carps. He also loved his cane corso, Midnight. He loved working on cars but his real passion was drag racing, which his cousins, Marshane Woods and Terry Woods, got him into. They would race at Piedmont Dragway. They are known as Thumbs up racing. He chose to follow his best friend, Bernard Long, anywhere a race was taking place since he is their driver. There were five cars that meant the world to him: Quiet Storm, Redrum, Mighty Whitey, Big Papa Pump, and Something Evil. Benny touched countless lives in and out of the racing community. Benny had his own special relationship with each and everyone of his cousins. 

Benny leaves to cherish his everlasting memories: His parents, His sister Tameka Albright, His little sister Ebony Brooks, Five Children: Tiyona Albright, Tyaisha Albright, and Tahjae Albright (Greensboro, NC) Le’Vaughn Cummings (Gibsonville, NC) and Destiny Albright (Graham, NC). Two Grandchildren: Naori Goode Dawkins and Taj’Mere Albright both of Greensboro NC. Grandmother: Pearlena Lloyd Staton. One Special Niece Seryniti Broughton and One Special Nephew Sev’Ann Broughton. Six Bonus Children: Aaliyah Covington, Ashanti Guye, Imani Staton, James Staton, Jada Staton, and Kaleb Langley. Special Friends: Bernard Long, Chris Smith, Gene Smith, Curtis Shaw, and Scott Hill. Special Aunt Sarah Strayhorn, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and a host of friends.

Benny is preceded in death by paternal Great Grandparents: James and Betty Albright, Grandparents: James Albright Jr and Viola Nicholson Albright and maternal Great Grandparents: Freddie and Lena Lloyd, Great Grandmother Jessie Mae Staton and Grandfather Rudolph Staton. Two Aunts: Peggy Jones and Shelia Monk.

Celebration of Life: Pattie "Polly" Ann Tinnin

Pattie Polly Ann Tinnin

Pattie "Polly" Ann Tinnin was born on March 25th, 1950, to the late James Vance and Mazell Wade in Alamance County, NC. She departed her earthly life to be with the Lord on September 27th, 2023, at her home in Graham, NC.

Pattie was a member of Melfield United Church of Christ where she led the Food Ministry. She also served as a deaconess, an usher, choir member and parliamentarian. She was a talented seamstress and loved the beach, socializing with friends, and sharing meals. Her dedication and passion were unmatched. She dearly loved her family.

She is survived by her son, Robert Tinnin (Atila) of the home; daughter, Sonya Jones (Toby) of Graham, NC; brothers, Richars Wade (Linda), Tony Wade (Carol), and Mitchel Wade; sisters, Mary Watlington (James), Dolly Milliken (Michael), and Sheena McBroom (Danny); granddaughter, Jariah Mack; grandson, Michael Tinnin; great grandson, Joseph Armijo; and a host of loving relatives and friends.

Pattie was preceded in death by her parents, James Vance and Mazell Wade.
