PRAISE!!!

The Melfield United Church of Christ is most appreciated to the Alamance Community Foundation Community Grants committee for your consideration of our (SOMEMUCC) So Others May Eat at Melfield United Church of Christ). Our Food Ministry was in need of funds to assist us with the purchase of an electric forklift/pallet jack. The Foundation has reviewed our application and request and to God be the Glory, and in the wisdom and compassion of the committee of the Alamance Community Foundation has blessed us with a $3,600.00 grant for the purchase. Most of our food ministry members and volunteers are senior men and women who have limited physical abilities to pull the pallets of boxes of food from our Food Pantry building to the parking lot where we serve over 400 clients each month. This grant will allow us to use the electric forklift/pallet jack to move the pallets of food out to the vehicles of our clients. Additionally, it will allow us to save the expense of traveling approximately 60 miles to rent the same type of machinery thus saving us funds to use for the purchase of more food items for those many families that we serve each week of every month throughout the year. This is truly a blessing and we are most appreciative for your consideration. Once again we are very thankful for your consideration of this wonderful gift.
